The world's most famous architects
Hadid Zaha
The public and critics both have differing opinions of Zaha Hadid's work. But even those who detest Zaha Hadid Architects' quirky structures can appreciate the ability of the designer. Zaha Hadid is the designer of these and other structures, including the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, the Opera House in Guangzhou, and the National Art Museum of the XXI Century (MAXXI) in Rome. The list of architectural landmarks that have influenced megacities' contemporary appearance could be rather large. The projects continued despite Zaha Hadid's untimely death in 2016. Projects in Astana, the US, Taiwan, and other nations are still under construction.
A. Le Corbusier
One of the architects who fully demolished archaic notions about architecture is Le Corbusier. His creations paved the way for the birth of a new era. Le Corbusier supported the building's main mass on columns to create the appearance that it was floating above the earth. He also considered clear, transparent facades. Le Corbusier's design is distinguished by the roof gardens, the sloppy floor layout, and the unfinished exterior of the structure. Traveling Swiss architects and designers have started to make a pilgrimage to the ZHLC exhibition pavilion. On Sakharov Avenue in Moscow, the Centrosoyuz building is a prominent reminder of the Soviet era. The Chandigarh Assembly Palace is a building that represents the new India.
Mies van der Rohe, Ludwig
Modernist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, together with Le Corbusier and other contemporaries, helped to establish the modernist architectural movement. The German architect emigrated to America after leaving Nazi Germany.
